Tour

Thursday,
May

p.m.
we
will
be
touring
the
Lockheed
Martin
Facility
B-2.
This
is
a
rare
opportunity
to
tour
the
Lockheed
aircraft
plant
in
Marietta
,
Ga.
,
and
see
and
photograph
the
US
Air
Force
Alco
switch
engine
there.
The
tour
will
visit
various
aircraft
manufacturing
and
assembly
areas.
NO
cameras
will
be
allowed
in
the
plant
but
the
Air
Force
plant
switcher
will
be
moved
into
a
good
location
for
photographs
at
the
end
of
the
tour.
Tour
participants
will
have
time
to
get
their
own
cameras
and
photograph
this
extremely
hard-to-find
Alco.
Tickets
for
this
tour
are
free
but
will
be
limited
to
the
first
25
people
and
given
out
in
the
order
registration
forms
are
received
at
the
Southern
Museum.
Comfortable
shoes
are
required.

Gate

Exit
I-75
North
at
#261/Lockheed/Delk
Road.
Remain
in
left
exit
lane
that
goes
under
Delk
Road
so
you
are
headed
west.
-
Travel
approximately
5
miles,
and
pass
the
main
Lockheed
Martin
facility
on
your
left.
Turn
left
at
the
Atlanta
Road
traffic
light
(last
light
before
going
under
the
railroad
overpass).
-
Turn
left
at
first
traffic
light,
and
proceed
across
intersection
and
railroad
tracks.
-
Continue
straight
ahead
and
go
downhill
into
the
parking
area.
-
Park
in
any
space,
and
go
to
the
Guardhouse
for
clearance.
-
After
being
cleared
into
the
facility,
proceed
to
the
B-2
Lobby
(behind
flagpole).
Visitor
Guidelines
Prohibited
items
include:

Cameras,
recording
equipment,
and
cellphones
with
photographic
capability
-
Personal
computers
and
any
associated
hardware,
software,
etc.
-
Narcotics
or
drugs,
unless
prescribed
by
licensed
physician,
alcoholic
beverages
-
Firearms,
explosives,
or
other
devices
which
might
endanger
health
or
safety
Non-US
citizens
must
provide
place
of
birth
and
passport
or
VISA
number.
