1926 41' 6" Flatcar

Prototype History:

In 1926, Southern Railway built 500 flatcars measuring 41’ 6”, numbered in series 116850-117349. Over 100 cars remained in revenue service in 1970, and many 27 flats were used as platforms for transfer cabooses, and many more served in maintenance service as wheel cars, in ribbon rail trains, and in wreck train service. Many cars are still in maintenance service today.
